Hard Drive Recording Unit designed for production environment and can record up to four channels simultaneously. Maintains approximately 10-80 days of local news storage in the MPEG2 format. These files are immediately editable on the EEW non-linear editing system. No capturing, rendering, or transcoding is needed when editing from these files. The EDR2 monitors storage space and deletes the oldest files when space runs low. When working in conjunction with the EEW, the EDR has a “read-only” mapped drive that allows you to pull needed files across your network for editing, without worry of accidentally deleting a newscast. The EDR comes with a complete browser based interface for scheduling and viewing recording events, and new advanced features that surpass the EDR-1 systems.

Clients have the ability to customize their EDR2 & EDR2R for their market. 2 to 6 channels of available recording at once, and up to 7TB's of storage on each machine available.
